Rubber Moulding vs TPR Moulding
Traditional rubber moulding remains the preferred solution for some demanding applications, particularly where extreme temperatures or specialist chemical resistance are required. However, TPR offers significant advantages for many modern manufacturing projects.
As a thermoplastic material, TPR can be processed using conventional injection moulding equipment, resulting in faster cycle times, improved production efficiency and lower manufacturing costs. It also allows production scrap to be reprocessed, helping reduce material waste and supporting more sustainable manufacturing practices.
For many components requiring flexibility, durability and an attractive surface finish, TPR provides an excellent balance of performance, manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
At PRP Polymer Engineering, we work closely with customers to identify the most suitable material for each application, ensuring every moulded component meets the required performance, quality and commercial objectives.
